We recently installed these gabions for a client near Oxford.

It is diificult to see clearly, but we used 4mm wire on the front face of the baskets and secured them using helicals. This gives a strong construction and gives the gabions a neat look. Pre-planted coir rolls were installed in front of tha gabions.
